We have a commited nursing team at Pilgrim Vets.

The team consists of:

Karen Morrell MBVNA RVN A1.

Karen joined Pilgrim Vets first as a Saturday girl and then a full time nurse in 1998.

Since then Karen has become a qualified Veterinary nurse progressing to Head Nurse and assessor for our student nurses.  Karen has a particular interest in radiology and currently performs all our hip & elbow scores, she continues to help move the practice forward.

Karen's pets include her fish, Koi Carp & Sturgeon and her pet chickens Pete & Pam, plus chicks!

Gemma Spencer - RVN

Gemma joined us in October 2006 as a trainee nurse, she has gone on to qualify as a veterinary nurse in 2011 and now runs all our nursing clinics and maintains all our laboratory equipment.

Gemma's interests include rambling and long walks on the Wolds with Barley her Springer Spaniel and looking after her rabbits.

Donna Chester-O'Neill - Trainee Nurse

Donna also became part of our team in October 2006 and like all our nurses has become an invaluable member of Pilgrim Vets taking care of all our Work Experience and Volunteers.  Donna has shown a particular interest in Dentistry.

Along with walking her two dogs, Maddison her one eyed Shar Pei and Chewy the Jack Russell, Donna is also a member of a local hockey team.

Tyler Nuttell - Student Nurse

Tyler joined us in June 2008 and in 2011 started college, working towards qualifying as a veterinary nurse.

Tyler has shown a very compassionate side and will spend a lot of time with our medical cases.  Like most of our staff Tyler took home a stray kitten called Ticka.

Outside of work Tyler is very family orientated, enjoys a good crime novel along with historical facts.  Tyler is also very dedicated to his fitness at the local gym.

Ellie Patman - Trainee Nurse

Ellie came to Pilgrim Vets in January 2011 and already has proved herself to be an asset to the practice, especially as she has previous background knowledge of animal care.

Currently Ellie enjoys all aspects of nursing and no doubt in the future, like our other nurses will find a particular interest.

Ellie has a giant house rabbit called Rufus and has taken home a stray kitten called Trilby (we have trained her well!).

We are proud of our Nursing team, each of who is dedicated to the well being of all patients.

Thanks to the hard work of Karen (our assessor) and our current students we are a RCVS approved training practice.
