" This is my story, I was really poorly but I had to go to the vet on call instead of my lovely Alistair and his lovely nurses.  I nearly died so my mummy took me to Alistair and he put me on a drip, I was there all day.

I was seriously ill for about two weeks, in this time I was back and forwards to see Alistair and the nurses who by this time fell in love with me, I'm hoping I'm their favourite but deep down I know that they love everyone equally.  My mum and family are very grateful to them all and they love you all very much.  I want to say a big THANK YOU for all the care you gave me............lots of love Merlin S and family"

Oskar

"Oscar suffered greatly with cysts between his toes.  After many tests at Pilgrim Vets and Cambridge Vet School he is now much better and competes in Dog Freestyle Dancing"

and his friend Weed.

BARNEY QUITE POSSIBLY THE UNLUCKIEST DOG

Barney, at the tender age of just over a year managed to fracture his lateral condylar.

Barney was referred to Queens Veterinary hospital for specialist repairs, as you can see from the X-ray above Barney is the bionic dog!

Then just as Barney was fully recovered in May 2008 he got run over by a commercial lawnmower.  He sustained several injuries, lacerations to his rump, abdomen, Left hock, lost two toes.  It took three months for Barney to be nearly as good as new.

We are sure that Barney's owners are very relieved that they had Pet Insurance as over the years with his fractured leg and it's associated continuing problems, his fight with a lawnmower and ongoing colitis problems that his vets bills have probably run into the thousands!

ROSIE'S STORY

At the tender age of just 12 weeks old Rosie. C fractured her distal humerus and intercondylar.

We think Rosie did this when she jumped on the sofa and then was sat on by her mother (dog).

Alistair performed surgery by stabalising the fracture with a lag screw.

Nearly four months later and Rosie is fully recovered and sound, needless to say Rosie's owner is very grateful to Alistair!
